Description:
No. of Pages=341 I read a John Grisham book after a long time. Previous to this I was under the impression of having read all his books, but upon checking discovered that there are three more books still to be read from this great writer. This is one of the three. THe story is simple with limited cast of characters which i like to start with. A law professor gets a lettor, which is like summons form a very law oriented dad. The professor and his drug addict brother have been summoned to report to their father in their ancestrial home in Clanton ,Mississipi. So surprises yet. The story is set in MIssissipi as in most of his novels. Upon arriving there the son discovers that his father is dead. He also discovers a secret which haunts and bothers him. The son is bent upon unfolding the secret. The rest of the books takes the reader through the mind and psychology od a person who is hiding a secret. This has been done very well and keeps the reader engrossed. Nice book.
