Description:
No. of Pages=384 There was an elegant lady brutally murdered the night before 9/11. She was a successful New York banker and receives a woman's left ear in the morning mail. A young woman with a bright career steals a priceless Van Gogh painting and a Japanese steel magnate happy to hand over $50,000,000 to a woman he had only met once. All this is part of the plot in this novel. False Impression takes us through a journey of twists and turns that takes us from New York to London to Bucharest and on to Tokyo, and finally a sleepy English village, where the mystery of Van Gogh's last painting is finally be resolved. I found this book not in the class of Jeffrey Archer. It was mildly interesting. Reluctantly, Archer being a great writer, whose books I have immensely enjoyed, I give this book 2-1/2 stars only.
